Vice President
The Vice President is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of client engagements. A strategic thinker, this individual develops strong relationships with the senior most client contacts to provide needed counsel in support of a client’s growth goals. In addition, you will focus on client retention and oversee and activate 20% account growth year-over-year.
Role & Responsibilities
The Vice President will have the following key focus areas of responsibility:
Agency Leadership
- Speak to all the divisions and solutions ClearEdge can offer its clients and prospects
- Be an active member in the talent community via social media and ClearEdge’s marketing
- Champion the agency and all team members
- Uphold the agency values at all times
Client Leadership
- Be the undisputed expert on client’s business through knowledge of industry, trends customers, and competitors
- Strengthen and expand relationships with assigned clients
- Maintain client’s respect and confidence while providing constant proactive thought leadership and acting as trusted advisor
- Partner with the delivery team to push insightful and meaningful agency work in new directions
- Create, lead, and implement annual account plans and forecasts
- Present confidently and with authority to external audiences in order to educate, engage and entice—winning trust and business
- Profitably grow the business by creation and adherence to forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning
- Promote the value and importance of client feedback and reviews
- Clearly understand ROI and measurement tools (both to identify and evaluate) the work as executed vs. targets
- Bring in SMEs/outside experts to educate, transform, and build client business
Team Leadership
- Motivate and nurture the account management team and address their needs while developing skills and talent
- Maintain regular communication with junior team members ensuring the team operates in the most effective and efficient way to meet client needs
- Regularly engage in dialogue with the team to ensure an accurate view and understanding of their workload, priorities, deadlines, and aspirations. Delegate projects and activities to stretch performance and capability
- Keep abreast of emerging partners, innovations, talent, sharing updates and knowledge with team
Business Development
- Lead thought leadership for the agency externally and internally on general marketing trends and expertise, proactively updating clients on the state-of-the-art best practices
- Proactively identify and drive opportunities to grow and expand work
- Lead and participate in new business pitches (when requested) with energy and passion and encourage the same of team
- Proactively contribute to the development and updating of case studies and other marketing materials
Financial Management
- Negotiate and finalize annual retainer scopes of work
- Provide accurate forecasts on accounts to ensure precise future planning and resource allocation
- Contribute to year-end and campaign reconciliations
KPIs
- Maintain 80% billable rate
- 20% client revenue growth
- 40% client profitability
- Strong client satisfaction scores tracked through client NPS
Qualifications
- 10+ years agency and/or talent, staffing and/or technology marketing experience focused in all areas of marketing strategy and execution
- Proven business acumen
- Ability to define, anticipate, and operate with excellence
- Dynamic leadership, management, and team building skills
- Proven track record of revenue growth and expansion of client accounts
- Sound qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- Passionate, persuasive, and sales oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High EQ
Salary & Benefits
This is a full-time, permanent work-from-home salaried position requiring infrequent travel to client locations. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
