Michelle Krier's expertise is designing and executing marketing efforts in the social media environment, which is why she's known at ClearEdge as "social." She drives the strategy to develop brand awareness, generate the appropriate marketing activity, and activate a community of raving fans. Michelle thrives on leveraging the latest technology tools and social media applications (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Ning, YouTube, Foursquare, widgets, mobile, video, and more) to help clients meet their marketing needs. A consummate marketing communications professional, Michelle has more than 15 years of experience in brand stewardship, communications, marketing strategy and public relations.
Prior to joining ClearEdge, Michelle led the marketing department for Pinstripe, an industry-leading recruitment firm. Under her direction, the company moved from #10 to #5 on the top list of RPO providers. In her client-facing role, she developed talent attraction strategies, which combined social media with traditional recruitment marketing efforts. Previously, as communications manager at STS, she managed the entire marketing department for the 18-office engineering and consulting firm. In this role, Michelle oversaw the development and execution of the external and internal corporate marketing communications strategy and led a full scale communications effort surrounding the firm’s acquisition by AECOM (NYSE: ACM). Previously, Michelle ran the marketing departments for enterprise software and IT services industry leader, Compuware (NASDAQ:CPWR), and information technology services provider, ICS, Inc.
Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is the Past President of the Milwaukee chapter of the American Marketing Association, and is frequently quoted in the media and speaks regularly at regional and national conferences and industry webinars on the topic of social media. When not working, Tweeting or posting updates to Facebook, you can find her playing baseball with her two young sons, playing on her iPad or training for her first 10K.
