Always trying to raise the bar, Kathy Allen is a results-focused client advocate with extensive experience in orchestrating marketing and communication strategies to grow business, engage key audiences and meet strategic goals. Her 25+ years of experience have mostly been in the health care industry, but she brings know-how from other industries, including professional services and hospitality.
Prior to joining ClearEdge as marketing director, Kathy served as director of corporate communications and director of marketing communications for a multi-hospital, comprehensive health system. In these roles she oversaw strategic marketing, internal communications, media relations and issues management, community relations and corporate messaging/writing. Throughout her career in the St. Louis and Milwaukee areas, Kathy earned a reputation for partnering with business leaders to identify opportunities that differentiate their services in the marketplace, raise awareness and bring in business.
Kathy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Valparaiso University in Indiana, and spent a semester studying in Cambridge, England. She is the recipient of numerous regional and national awards in marketing, advertising, employee communication and publication design. Additionally, Kathy is certified in the Six Sigma Change Acceleration Process and is a trained focus group facilitator.
A borderline workaholic, Kathy can be tempted away from her iPhone by son Mark, daughter Mackenzie and husband Scott, who she reports are a blast to hang out with. Favorite diversions include entertaining friends and family, waterskiing, volunteering, photography, wine and travel.
