Janalyn Hubbell, senior Creative director
"Inventive"
As our Senior Creative Director, Janalyn Hubbell is both a disciplined designer and a fine artist and is known at ClearEdge as inventive. After graduating with a BFA in drawing and painting from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, she leveraged that into award-winning professional experience in graphic design, branding, product design and promotions.
During her career, Janalyn has worked in museums, retail management and advertising and design firms—on both B2C and B2B accounts like Macy’s, Fifth-Third Bank, Motorola, Appleton and Grohe. Her work has even been published in PRINT magazine's Regional Design Annual.
In 2009, she left the corporate world and took her 11-year-old home-spun freelance design business—small but mighty—and turned it into a full-time gig, integrating her experience in graphic design and qualitative market research. For ClearEdge clients, Janalyn is busy designing everything from logos and brand style guides to stationery, sales templates, ad campaigns, target account programs and more.
Janalyn is a fan of all things vintage and loves to bake pies (preferably using produce from local farms) and can often be found eating at Veerasway restaurant in Chicago where her husband is executive chef. She is a dedicated volunteer with an AIDS Service Organization and with the little bit of free time she has left, she spends it on the shores of Lake Michigan with her dogs, Rhino and the adorably ugly Lola Diablo.
