ClearEdge Offering Helps Clients Leverage Social Media Movement to Build Brand Awareness, Expand Contact Base & Generate Business Leads

Firm to host Social Networking roundtable at the 2008 NACCB Annual Conference & Tradeshow

Chicago, IL (September 23, 2008)—ClearEdge Marketing, a firm specializing in outsourced marketing solutions for professional services firms, has announced a Social Media offering that is focused exclusively on helping clients build brand awareness, expand their contact base and generate business leads online and through social networking Web sites.

Social Networking—a social structure made up of people and organizations where registered site users create personal profiles and then allow friends and colleagues to connect to them—provides an unobtrusive way to stay in touch with, and also a gateway to, other qualified prospects, candidates or job opportunities as they become available. According to ExactTarget’s 2008 Channel Preference Survey, 75 percent of Gen M and Gen Y’ers (ages 15-24) and 57 percent of Gen X’ers (ages 25-34) already have a social networking profile, along with 40 percent of Baby Boomers.

ClearEdge Marketing is among the companies utilizing the Social Media movement, and recently launched its own Facebook page. ClearEdge President and Founder Leslie Vickrey believes that with such a wide audience embracing social networking, it has moved beyond a trend to a legitimate sales and recruiting channel. “We’ve supported our clients’ social media efforts since our inception, but with the significant growth in the number of people and companies participating on social networking sites, we believe now is the time for our clients to benefit from formalized marketing services that center on social networking,” Vickrey commented. “We look forward to helping them connect with the marketplace on a whole new level, and gain momentum in the process.”

Under its Social Media offering, ClearEdge will continue to help clients attract and retain their target audiences’ attention through online marketing services, such as:

  • Blogging strategy, implementation and ongoing maintenance
  • Social networking community building, including Facebook, LinkedIn and more
  • E-mail marketing programs
  • Search engine optimization, including pay-per-click strategies
  • Web site analytics
  • Mobile Web sites
  • Online/mobile
  • Job board enhancements/cross linking strategies

At the upcoming NACCB Annual Conference & Tradeshow, ClearEdge will host a roundtable titled “Social Networking—Why It Should be Part of Your Recruiting Strategy” to discuss ways social networking is changing the business landscape and quickly becoming an integral part of a company’s recruiting strategy. Attendees will learn to sort through the array of networking sites available, from Facebook to LinkedIn to Plaxo, and find out how to best take advantage of one of the biggest movements in business today. The roundtable will be held on Friday, October 3 from 12:45 p.m.-2:00 p.m. For more information on this year’s conference, visit www.naccbconference.com.
